As COVID-19 cases rise in the United States, many countries around the world have banned U.S. tourists to enter into their countries.
More than 4.1 million people in the United States have been infected with the coronavirus and at least 146,200 have died, according to recent data.
Several Presidential proclamations established restrictions on the entry of certain travelers into the United States in an effort to help slow the spread of coronavirus disease in 2019. While there have been actions to limit travel to the U.S., many other countries have banned tourism from the U.S.
The European Union’s 27 countries extended their ban on U.S. travelers on July 16 and will review the list of accepted nations every two weeks.
China and Japan have banned U.S. travelers. New Zealand prohibited U.S. tourists from visiting the country as they have nearly eliminated Covid-19, reporting a single new case on July 20.
Most recently, Bahamas banned entry to U.S. travelers on commercial flights and boats. Visitors are expected to quarantine upon arrival for two weeks. Officials said visitors are required to quarantine in a government facility for 14 days.
