AGROBAJA EXPO, PRESS RELEASE.-
Mexicali, Baja California., February 11th 2016. Everything’s ready for the Agrobaja Sixteenth Edition, which this time will have new areas such as: The Financing Pavilion and the Brewing Pavilion, continuing with its Date Pavilion (gourmet products made of local dates) and the Wine Route Pavilion (wineries from the region of Baja California), as in previous years had. Stated Mr. Manuel Hernandez Gabilongo, president of the Agrobaja Patronage Association in Baja California.
The Financing Pavilion will be an important piece of the Expo and it will offer a portfolio of options for credit and business financing in the agricultural, fishing and agroindustrial sector.
In respect to the Brewing Pavilion, the goal is to promote Brewing in Baja California, through the brewers’ participation in business round tables, with international buyers.
The Date and Wine Pavilions, will have wider canopies and a new distribution, thus providing a better experience for visitors and presenters of the 2016 Agrobaja Expo.
2015 Edition.-
In respect to statistics from last edition, Hernandez Gabilondo stated that, Agrobaja 2015 had an attendance of over 67,500 visitors and the participation of 737 national and international presenters.
102 manufacturers from 18 States of the Mexican Republic registered in the Business Center; in which there was Aguascalientes, Colima, Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chiapas, Chihuahua, Estado de Mexico, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Michoacán, Puebla, Sonora, Sinaloa, Oaxaca y Yucatán, merely resulting in a total of 18.25 million dollars related to short term negotiations.
According to an IMERK survey, the economic benefits in the city was calculated to be over $178,682,000 million pesos. Hotel Occupancy in the city of Mexicali, was reported to be a 100%, over the Agrobaja 2015 Edition.
Special Participation.-
In this occasion, California, United States, will be the Special Guest to the Only Agricultural and Fishing Expo in the Country, with participation of the Imperial County Agricultural Commission, California Department of Pesticide Regulation, Department of Regulation and Food Control and the California Department of Agriculture.
