The third edition of our Business Forum “Woman of Success” was a resounding success, with Ensenada, Baja California, serving as the picturesque backdrop for this empowering event. Women entrepreneurs from across the region had the opportunity to network, learn, and be inspired by an incredible lineup of speakers.

The Forum took place at Hotel Coral y Marina’s Convention Center in Ensenada, where attendees enjoyed a full day of conferences and discussions focused on empowerment, leadership, and success. The speakers, including a diverse group, shared their stories, expertise, and insights to motivate the audience.

Ensenada Mayor Carlos Ibarra gave introductory remarks at the opening ceremony, emphasizing the importance of the event in bringing people together and supporting women entrepreneurs.

From Canacintra Vice President Tere Babún, in charge of the Commission of Industrialist Women in Mexicali, to Real Estate investor Tania Guerrero, brewer Kathy Pedrin discussing The National Association of Women Beer and Wine Tasters, Marco Nájera Leadership Coach, to Chef Drew Deckman with a topic on Sustainability, and our editor, Ellie Burgueño, with her new book on personal finance for women titled: “Discover Your Potential and Find Your Financial Independence,” the speakers covered a wide range of topics that resonated with the audience. Additionally, the discussion panel on “Female Empowerment: Navigating the Challenges of the 21st Century” featured prominent figures from the region, like Senator Gina Cruz, San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce Vice President Kenia Zamarripa, Baja California Teleton President Niral Basave, and the President of Aquaculture and Fishing Industries in Baja, who shared their perspectives and experiences.

Baja California Senator Gina Cruz echoed Davila’s sentiments, expressing her privilege in witnessing the conference’s success and praising its support for women entrepreneurs.

The Undersecretary of Economy for the State of Baja California was also present at the event and inauguration, delivering words of welcome and support for conferences and forums such as this. She emphasized that in today’s society, a substantial number of women serve as heads of households and entrepreneurs. Consequently, their training to effectively manage finances while juggling personal responsibilities is crucial, and the government will consistently champion initiatives like these.

The energy and enthusiasm at the Forum were palpable as women connected, shared ideas, and left inspired to elevate their businesses and careers.

Monica Wu, a first-time attendee, an entrepreneur in Tijuana and San Diego, found the event beneficial, absorbing the feedback and energy, and expressed her desire to continue attending.

Adriana Martínez emphasized the uniqueness of each speaker’s contribution, while Mónica Tavárez of Ensenada praised the event’s inclusivity and significance for businesswomen.

The event boasted the participation of 20 exhibitors showcasing their services and products, including developers and real estate offerings such as Viñedos del Mar in Valle de Guadalupe, Ciudad Madera, AMPIA (Association of Proactive Women in the Agricultural Industry), Davila y Asociados Law firm, El Bodegón Pharmacies, MD Point, (IVEDC) Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation, and Brewers and Tasters of Mexico.
