Each April, the Office for Victims of Crime helps lead communities throughout the country in their annual observances of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW), which is observed April 8-14, 2018. This year’s theme was —Expand the Circle: Reach All Victims.

The theme emphasizes the importance of inclusion in victim services and addresses: how the crime victims field can better ensure that every crime victim has access to services and support; and how professionals, organizations, and communities can work in tandem to reach all victims.

The 2018 MAG Coalition theme is “Gang Awareness & Prevention for ALL #GAP4ALL” MAG Coalition initiated this night of recognition to honor those that have facilitated services to the community to improve the atmosphere in which our children live.

In memory of Martin Alberto Garza, Mothers & Men Against Gangs Coalition was established on January 10, 2013 with the vision to create a nonviolent community, assist in healing victims of violent crimes, raise crime victim awareness, increase family and community unity, and deter violence. In an effort to build awareness, MAG Coalition nurtures community partnerships that create safe activities that educate and empower everyone with knowledge, strength & faith to combat violence. The mission of MAG Coalition is to be the catalyst of CHANGE. Our COMMUNITY must UNITE to CHANGE.
