Tijuana, B.C.- The fashion industry in Tijuana will be shaped through Innovamoda, where on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19, the facilities of Quartz Hotel and Spa will house designs, proposals, competitions, conferences, and innovation.
At a press conference, the director of Innovamoda, Ana Dìaz de Gurrìa, indicated that the objective of the event is to promote the broad fashion industry in the region and that attendees, as well as participants, share experiences and tools.
“Innovamoda will offer conferences, workshops, a panel and a Master Class, presentation of collections on the catwalk, the first day, the fashion analyst, Anna Fusoni, will offer the Flash, Dash, and Cash conference, or else CRASH,” she said.
She indicated that the founder of the smart garment maker Machina Wearables, Linda Franco, will also participate, as well as a Master Class with Lili Marìa, Mariana Zaragoza and David Souza, about the Fashion Editorial Directorate.
Ana de Gurrria, mentioned that this year they will hold the first Fashion Film Innovamoda contest, organized in conjunction with the Spècola production house, which will last three minutes.
She explained that Fashion Film projects will be sent to the email ffinovamoda@gmail.com, until October 7, and that the 13th of the same month, they will announce the ten finalist videos where the best three will be awarded during the InnovaModa 2019 catwalk.
The director of Innvamoda said that “the price of the tickets includes the seven conferences, a workshop, and the panel for the amount of $500 pesos; the workshop “MACHINE Experience” is priced at $900 pesos, and it includes the sensor that will be implanted in the garment.”
She added that “the ticket for the Great Gateway has a $400 pesos price; and that those who wish to attend the After Party will be able to get their ticket for $200 pesos, on Friday, the director of Trendo.MX, Gustavo Prado will talk about the 2020 Trends.”
She added that Rosalina Villanueva, fashion designer, and consultant will talk about consumer attitudes; Francisco Saldaña, co-founder of Malafacha Brand, will reveal when is the right time to start a career in this industry.
“The day will be closed by the Colombian writer specialized in fashion history and theory, Vanessa Rosales, who will talk about the unexpected connections between feminism and fashion, Innovamoda will conclude with the Great Catwalk,” said Ana de Gurrìa.
