SOCIAL AND GENDER VIOLENCE PREVENTION MURAL WAS INAUGURATED

MURAL CONTRA LA VIOLENCIA -AIDA CORRAL

Mexicali.- With the aim of preventing social and gender violence within the framework of the SAFE CITIES FOR WOMEN program, this morning the non-profit association “Diverse People” had the ribbon cutting of the first mural under this concept: “Without Violence”, in Mexicali. Mural elaborated by the recognized Cachanilla plastic artist Aída Corral and with the participation of the Baja California Assemblymember, Patricia Ríos.

The Mural is located in the Park Héroes de Chapultepec right on the side of Av. Colon, where it can be appreciated widely from the crossing line to Calexico in the port Zona Centro (old port), next to Casa de la Cultura.

The mural is a citizen contribution of the artist AIDA CORRAL, who shares her art and adds her trajectory and sensitivity, to contribute to eradicate violence against women.

The materials were provided by Baja California Assemblymember Patricia Ríos in her capacity as President of the Gender Commission of the XXII Legislature in the Baja California Congress.
