Have you been financially impacted by COVID-19 and are a resident of Imperial County? If so, IID is excited to work with the County of Imperial on the county’s new Electricity Relief Program.
Customers who have been financially impacted by COVID-19, are behind in their electric bills and meet certain qualifications can receive financial assistance from the county with their electric bills.
To be eligible, participants must be median income residents of the County of Imperial. Median income individuals/households may qualify for utility payment assistance by providing adequate documentation of termination of employment or reduced working hours due to the recent pandemic.
Participants must also certify that the household income does not exceed the established income limits for Imperial County and provide complete applications with copies of documents.
The maximum assistance available is $750 to $1,000 per household.

The deadline to apply for this assistance is Dec. 28.
