Cross Border Xpress (CBX), the cross-border pedestrian bridge connecting passengers from Tijuana Airport to Southern California, announced the start of its annual charitable campaign in support of TELETÓN México. The campaign, known as “Cruce Con Causa,” will take place from November 1st to November 30th and aims to raise $10,000.

In 2023, TELETÓN celebrates 26 years of supporting children and teens with disabilities, cancer, and autism throughout the country. The Teletón Children’s Rehabilitation and Inclusion Center (CRIT) in Tijuana, which has been in operation for 7 years, plays a crucial role in providing therapies and support to approximately 450 families daily and funding around 50 thousand therapies annually.

Since 2019, CBX has supported TELETÓN’s noble cause through “Cruce Con Causa,” marking the 5th consecutive year that Cross Border Xpress has implemented this effort. It is a donation collection initiative where passengers crossing through CBX can contribute either online or at the Tijuana and San Diego terminals.

Jorge Goytortua, CEO of CBX, expressed his commitment to children and youth and invited users and collaborators to join the cause, “In these times of shared challenges, we have witnessed the power of unity and solidarity. We invite everyone to be part of this noble cause and make a significant change in our society. Together, we can make a difference and bring hope to those who need it most,” added Goytortua.

The “Cruce Con Causa” campaign complements the various philanthropic initiatives undertaken throughout the year by CBX, such as “One Toy One Smile,” “Warm Hearts Warm Meals,” and “Pink October,” representing a combined investment of nearly 2 million pesos this year in support of multiple causes and nonprofit organizations. CBX’s commitment to the community reflects its deep interest in strengthening the region and making a significant difference in the lives of those who need it most.
