With the promise of offering even greater attractions for Mexicali residents, Mayor Norma Bustamante, alongside FEX Director Ismael Castro, presented the official program for the 2024 edition of the Fiestas del Sol, which will take place from September 27 to October 13.
“As we do every year, we aim to provide a Fiestas del Sol experience for all audiences. In addition to our traditional activities, we have planned new pavilions inspired by our culture and aimed at promoting local entrepreneurs,” stated Mayor Bustamante.
The mayor also announced that this year’s “Fiestas del Sol Ambassador” will be Andrea Isabel García, who will help promote this beloved tradition with local families.
During the press conference, Ismael Castro, joined by sponsors and partners for this year’s edition, unveiled the new pavilions, which will include: Hacienda del Norte, Mexicali Emprende, Asphalt City, Cerveza Artesanal, Zona Geek, Cimarron, Aztlán, Chinesca, and Barzon. Additionally, visitors can enjoy Plaza Cucapá, Expo Arte Imacum, Zona Infantil, La Carretera Musical, mechanical rides, and the Expo MXL Serie del Caribe.
The FEX Director also noted that general admission will cost 60 pesos, and attendees can find more details about the pavilions, VIP tickets, and other sections on the digital map available at [Genially](https://view.genially.com/66df7db295fc3972fd1a4129).
This year’s entertainment lineup at the “Islas de las Estrellas” stage will kick off on Friday, September 27, with Remmy Valenzuela, followed by Grupo Clasificado on Saturday, September 28, and Moenia on Sunday, September 29. The excitement continues with Redimi2 on Monday, September 30, Enjambre on Tuesday, October 1, and Maldita Vecindad on Wednesday, October 2. Ximena Sariñana will take the stage on Thursday, October 3, with Danny Lux performing on Friday, October 4, and Grupo Recluta on Saturday, October 5. Rounding out the first week, Mr. Pig Bautista will perform on Sunday, October 6.
The following week will feature YNG LVCAS on Monday, October 7, Banda Renovación on Tuesday, October 8, and DLD on Wednesday, October 9. Reggae band Gondwana will perform on Thursday, October 10, followed by Su Majestad la Brisa on Friday, October 11. The final weekend will include Matisse on Saturday, October 12, and Virlan García on Sunday, October 13. Meanwhile, performances at the FEX Palenque will include Banda MS on Friday, September 27, Grupo Frontera on Sunday, September 29, and a mix of regional bands on Friday, October 4. Gloria Trevi will take the stage on Saturday, October 5, Eden Muñoz on Sunday, October 6, and Julión Álvarez will close out the festivities on Saturday, October 12.
