The second edition of the Construction and Housing Expo drew a strong turnout this year, reinforcing its position as a key networking platform for Baja California’s construction and housing industries, said Renata Ramírez, director of Imagen Radio Mexicali.
“The Construction and Housing Expo held its first edition last year in 2024,” Ramírez said. “We started this project with CMIC Baja California as our naming sponsor, and we had several exhibitors who joined us as partners to make it happen.”
The event, organized by Imagen Mexicali, exceeded last year’s success with increased participation and enthusiasm among exhibitors. “Most of the exhibitors who joined us last year returned this year,” Ramírez said. “That gave us great joy and confirmed that what we were doing resonated with people in the construction field.”
According to Ramírez, the Expo is more than a showcase — it’s designed to build relationships and facilitate business opportunities. “The idea is to create networking opportunities so participants can meet, make business connections, and develop collaborations,” she said. “It’s not just open to the public; it also helps exhibitors form professional relationships they didn’t know were possible.”
Ramírez explained that the Construction and Housing Expo is part of Imagen Radio’s broader strategy to connect clients through events known as “happenings,” blending media exposure with business engagement. “At Imagen Radio, we don’t just offer advertising — we create comprehensive experiences that help our clients maximize their opportunities,” she said. “We’re a multimedia group that includes radio, television, and digital platforms. Our goal is to help businesses grow while strengthening our own network.”
Ramírez added that Imagen Radio’s focus on content over music has helped the brand remain relevant in a changing media landscape. “Many say radio is no longer the same because of digital platforms, but Imagen Radio has evolved beyond music,” she said. “Our platform is about content — news, experiences, and specialized programs for specific market segments like construction and housing.”
The president of CMIC Baja California highlighted the importance of the Expo for promoting innovation, collaboration, and growth within the construction sector, noting that events like this strengthen local industry ties and foster economic development across the region.
Beyond Borders participated as a strategic Media Partner, hosting a booth at the event that allowed its team to connect directly with numerous businesses in the construction sector of the region, reinforcing its commitment to supporting regional growth and binational industry collaboration.
In addition to the Expo, Imagen Radio Mexicali is preparing for its upcoming sixth annual golf tournament with INDEX Mexicali, scheduled for November 13. “It’s been a tremendous success,” Ramírez said. “Players sign up well in advance — we’ve even had waiting lists with up to 60 people. The event brings together some of the most influential figures in the city.”
She added that the event will once again feature sports journalist Pablo Carrillo, who will join participants at the tournament. “Everything is set, and we’re sold out,” Ramírez said. “We expect another year of great success.”
