Index Mexicali will present Foro Index 2025 on Oct. 22 at the Salón FSTSE, a full-day event bringing together business leaders, industry experts, and the community to explore key issues shaping Mexico’s economic and social landscape.
The program features distinguished speakers including Pascal Beltrán del Río, journalist and editorial director of Primera Emisión; René Saúl Farro, president and CEO of Kapital Grupo Financiero, who will participate in the panel “Nearshoring and Digital Banking: Driving Mexico’s Financial and Manufacturing Future”; and leadership expert Raciel Sosa, CEO of Leadex Solutions, with his conference “Leadership in AI Environments.”
The evening program will focus on women’s leadership and success stories, with sessions dedicated to empowerment and recognition. Highlights include “Mujer Guerrera” by Mónica Laris, followed by the panel “Women of Success: Stories That Transcend,” moderated by Beatriz Rivas and featuring Fabiola Luna, Zelina Fernández, and Dr. Karen Carrillo. The event will also include the 2025 Gender Equity and Women Leader awards, presented by the Comité Mujer Index Mexicali.
Invited panelists and guests include Humberto Martínez, Fabiola Luna, Roberto Arechedera, Beatriz Rivas, Felipe Villarreal, Zelina Fernández, Guillermo del Río, Federico Serrano, Ushuaia Guadarrama, Luis Alonso Aguirre Lang, Leslie Jaime, and Salvador Maese. Foro Index 2025 aims to showcase innovation, resilience, and leadership, reinforcing Mexicali’s role as a hub for manufacturing, finance, and professional growth.
“Women will play a central role in this year’s Foro Index, and their participation highlights the importance of diversity in building Mexico’s future,” said Salvador Maese, president of Index Mexicali.
Index officials also reported an upcoming trip to Washington, D.C., to meet with representatives from the House of Representatives, Customs and Border Protection, and the U.S. Department of Commerce.
“Our upcoming trip to Washington, D.C., will focus on strengthening ties with the U.S. Department of Commerce, one of our main allies,” said Jael Durán López, general director of Index Nacional. “We expect to have the participation of Mexico’s ambassador to the United States, Esteban Moctezuma, and we are working to meet with both Republican and Democratic members of Congress. While we are not bringing Mexican government representatives, our priority is to defend and represent our sector.”
Maese added, “Mexico is not the problem — Mexico is the solution. We have addressed the issue of migration by opening formal jobs to those who remain in the country and need to legalize their status. The most important thing is that Mexico is and will remain the United States’ most important commercial ally. As we approach the 2026 trade negotiations, we must work as a team with the government and the private sector to stay competitive.”
