Provino Baja California will hold the 20th edition of its “Fiesta de los Viñedos en Flor,” a family-oriented wine and agriculture festival that also serves as a fundraising event for community infrastructure projects in the Valle de Guadalupe region.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Adobe Guadalupe Winery, located in the heart of Valle de Guadalupe, the state’s primary wine-producing region. The festival is part of Provino’s broader 2026 enotourism calendar and is intended to highlight local wine production, agricultural heritage and sustainability while supporting community development projects.
Provino Baja California represents 80 wineries across Baja California and has organized the event for two decades as part of its promotional and philanthropic initiatives.
This year’s edition will feature participation from 80 wineries affiliated with Provino, offering more than 160 wine labels for tasting. The event is designed to showcase the diversity and quality of Baja California wine production while maintaining an accessible, community-focused atmosphere.
In addition to wine tastings, the festival will include a rural market featuring locally produced goods such as baked products, artisanal cheeses, olive oil, honey, smoked foods, handcrafted beauty items, and decorative terrariums.
Food stations will be operated by 10 guest chefs and traditional cooks representing both the culinary industry and Indigenous communities of Baja California. Participating chefs include Miguel Chávez (Umbra), Carolina Jiménez (Primitivo), Óscar Torres (Animalón), Gaby Melchum (Hacienda Guadalupe), Edgard Romero (Terra Noble), Solange Muris (Manzanilla), and Carolina Verdugo and Miguel Bahena (Madre), among others.
Traditional cooks from the Kumiai community of La Huerta and the Kiliwa community of Arroyo de León will also participate, reflecting an effort to integrate regional Indigenous culinary traditions into the event’s offerings.
Food will be sold at affordable prices, with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients and sustainable preparation methods.
Viñedos en Flor is designed as a family event. Admission is free for attendees under 18, and children’s programming includes a variety of educational and recreational activities.
Activities will include kite-making workshops, arts and crafts sessions led by Academia de Arte Prisma, and an interactive farm area provided by Parque Ecoturístico Pai Pai. Additional features include a mini market and mini restaurant operated by Distribuidora La Canasta, a small soccer field, and a pétanque area.
The event will also include spaces intended to introduce children and families to environmental awareness and agricultural education. These include an ecological corridor, guided vineyard tours, and a series of talks focused on environmental protection and sustainable practices.
The educational programming is intended to strengthen awareness of environmental issues affecting the region, particularly those tied to water use, agriculture, and land conservation in Valle de Guadalupe.
A central component of the festival is its role as a fundraiser for public infrastructure projects in nearby communities.
This year, proceeds will benefit Unidad Deportiva El Porvenir, a sports and recreation facility that has received prior investments through the same event. The 2025 edition of Viñedos en Flor generated approximately 419,000 pesos, which were used to improve a fast-pitch soccer field, install lighting and goalposts for a fut-7 field, and add shaded areas in a children’s play zone.
For 2026, the goal is to raise approximately 500,000 pesos to fund additional improvements, including the construction of shaded bleachers for two fields, upgrades to children’s recreational areas and general maintenance of the facility.
Provino officials said the long-term goal is to support infrastructure that promotes physical activity and community development among children and young people in the region.
The festival incorporates multiple fundraising mechanisms throughout the day.
Wine sales will be offered at winery-direct prices, with bottles donated by participating producers specifically for fundraising purposes. Food sales at culinary stations will operate using a ticket-based system similar to a school fair, allowing attendees to exchange tickets for meals and products.
A traditional art auction is also scheduled, featuring the live creation of three large-format artworks by invited artists. This year’s participating artists include Emiliano Contreras, Star 27 and Julieta Valdez. The works will be created on-site with participation from children attending the event, combining art production with community engagement.
The auction remains one of the event’s most significant fundraising components, drawing strong participation from attendees and supporting the overall donation goals for community projects.
Francisco Rubio Cárdenas, president of Provino Baja California, said the organization’s mission extends beyond wine promotion to include broader community development efforts in the Valle de Guadalupe region.
“Beyond strengthening wine tourism in the region, it is very important for us to contribute to the sense of community in our wine valleys,” Rubio Cárdenas said. “We focus on fundraising throughout the year, and through our events, we can bring together private initiative and community needs to improve public spaces, particularly those that support sports and recreation for children and young people.”
He added that Viñedos en Flor has become a key event for consolidating those efforts by combining cultural, culinary, and agricultural activities with philanthropic goals.
General admission is priced at 900 pesos and includes a commemorative wine glass and access to wine tastings from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. or while supplies last.
Children under 18 will be admitted free of charge. One caregiver or nanny per family group may also enter without charge. Pets are permitted under established guidelines, as the event is designed to be family-friendly and inclusive.
Tickets are available at Provino offices, Hotel Coral & Marina, La Contra wine shop, and online at https://clubprovino.mx/.
