Epione Medical & Business Tower Opens in Ensenada, Advancing City’s Health Tourism Ambitions

The Epione Medical & Business Tower, a 16-story facility combining medical services, business offices, and commercial spaces, was inaugurated Aug. 8 in Ensenada.

The development, located along the Tijuana-Ensenada highway in the San Marino area, is being promoted as the city’s first dedicated health tourism district. The facility is about 15 minutes from downtown Ensenada, 30 minutes from Valle de Guadalupe, and approximately an hour from the U.S.-Mexico border.

The tower includes private medical offices with individual floor receptions, controlled access, and private elevators for medical personnel. Plans for the development also include a specialty hospital, a hospital hostel for patients recovering from treatment, and spaces for advanced imaging and diagnostic services.

The lower levels include pharmacies, specialized retail businesses, and restaurants. The building also features a rooftop area on the 16th floor.

Medical professionals working in the complex include specialists in bariatric surgery and nutrition, neurosurgery, urology, regenerative medicine and pain management, as well as psychology.

The project was developed by Grupo Dialen. Project representatives have said the facility is intended to strengthen Ensenada’s position in the medical tourism industry by attracting patients from outside the region and keeping more medical-related spending in the city rather than having patients travel to Tijuana or Mexicali.

According to project information, the development is expected to generate more than 500 direct specialized jobs and contribute to other sectors of the local economy, including hotels, restaurants, and tourism-related businesses.

The tower is located at Carr. Tijuana-Ensenada Km. 104 in the San Marino area of Ensenada, Baja California.
