The Entrepreneurs of Valle de Guadalupe Association (EDVG), an organization representing more than 280 businesses throughout Baja California’s wine country, highlighted the continued growth of the region’s tourism and wine industries during a recent news conference, while also announcing upcoming events designed to promote local wineries, gastronomy, hospitality and cultural experiences.

Association leaders said the Valle de Guadalupe has become one of Mexico’s premier tourism destinations, driven by a diverse economic ecosystem centered on wine production. The sector supports a broad range of businesses, including restaurants, hotels, transportation providers, event venues, tour operators and other tourism-related services.

EDVG President Marco Estudillo Bernal, who is also affiliated with Vinícola Maglén, said the organization remains focused on promoting the region and expanding opportunities for visitors to experience the area’s wines, cuisine and hospitality offerings.

According to the association, the Valle de Guadalupe benefits from a combination of rural landscapes, proximity to the Pacific Ocean, scenic highways, local agricultural production and a growing tourism infrastructure. Representatives noted that the region brings together products from the sea, agriculture, livestock operations and aquaculture, which have contributed to the development of a culinary and wine tourism destination recognized both nationally and internationally.

The organization also emphasized the economic impact of the region, noting that the wine and tourism industries support more than 10,000 jobs and play a significant role in the local economy.

Among the initiatives highlighted during the presentation was Viñadas, a series of events hosted at wineries, resorts and tourism venues throughout the Valle de Guadalupe.

Organizers reported that the program has experienced steady growth since its launch. The initiative featured 10 participating venues in 2024, expanded to 14 in 2025, and has already confirmed 20 venues for 2026.

Association representatives said additional wineries and tourism businesses have expressed interest in joining future editions of the program. The goal, they said, is to introduce visitors to the wines, cuisine and tourism experiences that distinguish the Valle de Guadalupe, Ensenada and Baja California.

One of the upcoming Viñadas events will be White Night, scheduled for July 5 at Ojo Azul Resort.

Event organizers said attendees will have access to wine tastings featuring regional producers, food from local culinary vendors, live entertainment and vineyard experiences. Activities are expected to include hot air balloon rides and panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards.

The event will also feature a live broadcast of the Mexican national soccer team’s match on a high-definition LED screen measuring approximately 3.5 meters by 2 meters.

Organizers said the event is intended to provide a family-friendly environment where visitors can enjoy both regional products and a major sporting event. They noted that security measures will be in place and that the gathering is designed to promote community participation and tourism in the region.

Confirmed participants include wineries such as Viñas de Toranzo, Bodega Entrevéz, Vinícola Maglén, Casa Luna, Finca Tre, Casa Zamora, Vinos Taelum, Vinos Santana-Rancho María Teresa, Barón Balché, Don Tomás Viñedo, Castillo Ferrer, Salvia Blanca, Klabios de Seda and others.

Food, beverage and hospitality vendors are also expected to participate, including regional producers specializing in cheese, coffee, mixology and other culinary offerings.

Another event announced during the news conference was the Festival Cervecero del Valle, scheduled for July 18 at Finca El Mirador.

Representatives from Finca El Mirador described the event as a family-oriented celebration of the region’s craft beverage industry and broader tourism sector. Organizers said the festival reflects the continued expansion of the family-owned project, which now includes wine production, gastronomy, lodging and craft beer promotion.

The festival is expected to bring together more than 40 breweries and wineries from across the region.

Planned activities include regional food offerings, live music performances, cultural programming, a live mural project and a photography exhibition. Organizers also announced participation by members of the Kumiai community, who will showcase traditional products and handcrafted items.

Among the breweries expected to participate are Cardera, Transpeninsular and Amanecer, along with numerous other craft beer producers from Baja California.

Organizers said the event aims to highlight the diversity of beverages produced in the region, noting that the Valle de Guadalupe has become known not only for wine production but also for a growing craft beer industry that incorporates locally sourced ingredients and innovative brewing techniques.

Transportation services will be available from Parque Revolución in Ensenada, with departures scheduled at 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., and return transportation planned for 9:30 p.m. Lodging discounts and promotional packages will also be available for visitors.

In addition to tourism promotion, EDVG outlined several ongoing initiatives focused on community engagement, environmental stewardship and destination development.

The association reported that it continues to organize recognition activities honoring wildland firefighters and has coordinated cleanup campaigns involving more than 60 wineries and tourism-related businesses throughout the Valle de Guadalupe.

Other projects include reforestation efforts, professional training programs for businesses and workers, collaboration with government agencies to improve public safety and initiatives designed to strengthen the region’s competitiveness as a tourism destination.

Association leaders said they will continue working to support the growth of the wine industry and related sectors while promoting sustainable development and job creation throughout the region.

EDVG representatives concluded the presentation by reaffirming their commitment to promoting the wines, gastronomy, tourism experiences and local products that have helped establish the Valle de Guadalupe, Ensenada and Baja California as destinations recognized both within Mexico and internationally.
