Five small businesses were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the region’s economy and communities during the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce’s annual Small Business Awards and Summer Celebration.
The awards honor Chamber member businesses with 50 or fewer employees across four categories: Community All-Star, Customers First, Nonprofit Leader, and Outstanding Diversity-Owned Business. A fifth recognition, the Legacy Partner Award, was selected by Chamber leadership and staff.
“Small businesses are the heart of our economy: driving innovation, creating jobs, and shaping the unique character of our San Diego region,” said Chris Cate, President and CEO of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. “Tonight, we celebrate the drive, achievements, and community spirit of our small businesses; the very qualities that power the Chamber’s mission to make San Diego the best place to live and work.”
The 2025 award winners include Top Notch Finders, Inc., recipient of the Community All-Star Award for its commitment to helping others and making a positive impact in the community. San Diego Employers Association received the Customer First Award for its outstanding focus on customer service and ability to distinguish itself from competitors. Doors of Change earned the Nonprofit Leader Award for its efforts in creating meaningful change and enhancing the quality of life throughout the region.
Black in Marine Science was honored with the Outstanding Diversity-Owned Business Award for its contributions to the region’s economic growth and commitment to diversity. The Legacy Partner Award was presented to Business Office Outfitters in recognition of its long-standing involvement with the Chamber and exemplary partnership over the years.
All nominations, excluding the Legacy Partner Award, were reviewed and scored by a panel of Chamber members based on alignment with award criteria. Winners were selected based on the highest-scoring applications in each category.
