The City of Yuma will hold a public auction of surplus property Oct. 17, giving residents and other interested buyers an opportunity to bid on vehicles, electronics, office equipment, and a variety of other items.

The auction is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. at the city’s surplus property yard, 190 W. 14th St. Viewing and registration will be available Oct. 16, allowing prospective bidders to examine items before the auction.

A wide range of surplus property will be offered for bidding, including vehicles, bicycles, electronics, desks, office chairs, watches, jewelry, and tools.

The auction will also include larger equipment and materials, such as scrap metal, industrial pumps, industrial light fixtures, heating, ventilation and air conditioning units, and copiers. Other miscellaneous goods will also be available.

The public auction provides the city with a way to sell property and equipment that is no longer needed for municipal operations. Items will be made available through the bidding process during the Oct. 17 event.

Those interested in participating can visit the surplus property yard during the viewing and registration period on Oct. 16 before returning for the auction the following morning.
