BAJA CALIFORNIA STATE GOVERNMENT WILL ASSESS OPERATION AND NEEDS OF HOSPITALS DEDICATED TO COVID-19

  • Governor Jaime Bonilla Valdez instructs the Secretary of Health to make a tour in facilities that are being dedicated to the health emergency and resolve their deficiencies and needs

The Secretary of Health in Baja California, Dr. Alonso Pérez Rico, will conduct a supervisory tour of the various medical facilities in the state that have been converted to emergency care centers dedicated to COVID 19, particularly the Regional Hospital number 20 of the IMSS in the city of Tijuana.

By instruction of the State Governor Jaime Bonilla Valdez, it has been arranged that starting this Monday, April 13, and permanently, the conditions under which the health emergency is being addressed, the equipment and the needs it presents are being evaluated in each of the clinics.

Despite not being the competence of the state government, ISSSTE and IMSS hospitals and clinics will be valued in their performance and by order of the state governor; sufficient equipment will be provided to allow for the contingency to be handled as humanely as possible.

The State government, in response to the needs of the population, is sensitive to the concerns expressed on social networks and endorses its commitment to provide the necessary resources and aid to the people of Baja California.
