Thousands of residents enjoyed the fireworks in Calexico in celebration of Independence Day

On Monday, July 3rd, around 2,000 residents of Calexico and surrounding areas visited Gran Plaza to enjoy the Art Walk on the Border and also to enjoy the fireworks celebration before the 4th of July. 

The Art Walk on the Border was created by Roxanna Pacheco as a place where artist from both sides of the border can exhibit their art. The event has been successful and has attracted thousands during its recent editions.

Gran Plaza decided to support the Art Walk and since has grown to be a venue were young artist are able to expose their art creations. The Art Walk added Independence Day to their list of events and included fireworks and live music to celebrate America.

This year was once again a success as thousands of people attended to watch the 15 minute fireworks show.
