The National Football League announced that Las Vegas will host Super Bowl LXIII in 2029 at Allegiant Stadium, marking the second time the city will stage the league’s championship game.

The decision was made during the NFL’s annual meeting in Phoenix after a review by the league’s Fan Engagement and Major Events Committee and approval by team owners.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said the league is eager to return to Las Vegas following what it described as a successful first Super Bowl in the city in 2024.

“We’re excited to bring the Super Bowl back to Las Vegas and provide our fans another incredible experience in one of America’s premier sports and entertainment destinations,” Goodell said in a statement. He noted that Super Bowl LVIII demonstrated the city’s ability to host large-scale global events.

Super Bowl LXIII will be played at Allegiant Stadium, the home of the Las Vegas Raiders, which opened in 2020 and has since hosted major sporting and entertainment events, including the city’s first Super Bowl.

Las Vegas made its Super Bowl debut in 2024, drawing more than 330,000 visitors and generating over $1 billion in economic impact, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. The event marked a significant milestone for a city long associated with tourism and entertainment but relatively new to hosting the NFL’s biggest game.

Steve Hill, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, said the selection reflects confidence in the city’s ability to deliver a large-scale event that blends sports, entertainment, and hospitality.

“Our first Super Bowl showcased the unique energy and scale only this destination can offer,” Hill said. “Las Vegas was built for moments like this, and we look forward to delivering another exceptional experience for fans in 2029.”

Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis said the return of the Super Bowl underscores collaboration between the team, local officials, and the league.

“Super Bowl LVIII set a high bar, and for Super Bowl LXIII we are committed to raising it even further,” Davis said.

In addition to the game, the NFL plans to bring a slate of related events to the Las Vegas metropolitan area in the days leading up to the Super Bowl. These are expected to include NFL Honors, the league’s annual awards show; Super Bowl Experience, an interactive fan festival; and Super Bowl Opening Night, a media event featuring both participating teams.

The league also said it will expand community initiatives tied to the event, including programs designed to support local and underrepresented businesses through procurement opportunities and outreach efforts.

Meanwhile, On Location, the NFL’s official hospitality partner, has launched a priority access deposit program for Super Bowl LXIII packages. The program allows fans to place refundable deposits to secure early access to tickets and premium experiences, including hospitality services, exclusive events, and upgraded seating options.

Further details, including the date of the game and participating teams, will be announced at a later time.
