Yuma Invites K-12 Students to Design America 250 Poster

The City of Yuma invites local students in kindergarten through 12th grade to submit original artwork for a poster representing the city as part of the Freedom 250 City Art Poster Project.
The initiative allows young artists to participate in activities surrounding the 250th anniversary of the United States and showcase their interpretation of Yuma and the nation’s milestone.
Selected artwork will serve as Yuma’s contribution to the national Freedom 250 project, which is connected to commemorations marking the United States’ semiquincentennial.
The competition is open to K-12 students in the Yuma area. City officials are encouraging students to use their creativity to develop artwork reflecting the community and the significance of the country’s 250th anniversary.
The United States will mark 250 years since the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 2026.
