Soles de Mexicali introduced its roster, season objectives and new fan engagement initiatives during a news conference ahead of the 2026 season of Mexico’s top professional basketball league.

Club General Manager Luis Eugenio Monge thanked sponsors, media members and the organization’s staff, saying the team set a franchise record for season ticket sales for the second consecutive year. He said about 93% of the lower seating area at the PSF Auditorium has already been sold through season ticket packages.

Monge announced the launch of Soles Flex, a new platform that will allow season ticket holders to release their seats for resale if they cannot attend a game. If the ticket is resold, the season ticket holder will receive a percentage of the sale. He said the initiative was developed after the club experienced empty seats at games last season despite high demand because some season ticket holders were unable to attend.

The club also announced expanded fan experience plans, including themed game series and pregame and postgame events throughout the season. Monge said the goal is to encourage fans to spend more time at the arena while offering additional entertainment beyond the games. Sponsors also will participate in in-game activities and promotions during the season.

Sporting Director Luis Quintero announced the team’s final roster addition, completing the 12-player lineup for the season. He said the organization spent approximately five months assembling the roster alongside head coach Pablo García and the coaching staff.

Quintero said that for the 2026 season, Soles de Mexicali will feature seven new players: Ghil Diodato, Jordan Sakho, Jerome Meyinsse, TJ Campbell, Kaleb Hunter, Eduardo Girón and Juan Contreras. Returning from last season are Joshua Webster, Connor Zinaich, Eduardo Mendoza and Bryan Martínez, while veteran forward Erik Thomas also returns to the club.

Quintero said the team’s objectives are to finish among the top four teams in the regular-season standings, compete for a championship, strengthen the club’s culture through discipline and competitiveness, and maximize player performance while maintaining the roster’s health.

Head coach Pablo García said the organization’s primary goal is to contend for the league title. He acknowledged the competition throughout the league while noting that Soles has not won a championship since 2019.

“We have to take it step by step with humility,” García said. “There are many strong teams, but our objective is to compete to win.”

Forward Eric Thomas, who returns for his fourth season with Soles, said he was pleased to rejoin the organization where he began his career in Mexico. He said the team is focused on pursuing another championship for the club and its supporters.

Soles de Mexicali will open the 2026 season on the road with a two-game series against Fuerza Regia on July 25-26 before hosting Gambusinos for their home opener on July 30-31. The club’s home schedule also includes series against Abejas de León (Aug. 11-12), Mineros de Zacatecas (Aug. 20-21), Calor de Cancún (Aug. 29-30), Panteras (Sept. 20-21), Diablos Rojos (Oct. 1-2) and Fuerza Regia (Oct. 6-7). Road series include Lobos de Puebla (Aug. 5-6), Santos de San Luis (Aug. 15-16), Correcaminos UAT (Aug. 24-25), Astros de Jalisco (Sept. 11-12), Freseros de Irapuato (Sept. 14-15) and Dorados de Chihuahua (Sept. 25-26).
