The Industrial Development Commission of Mexicali (CDI) is making its presence felt at the prestigious Paris Air Show, the world’s largest aerospace industry fair, taking place from June 19th to 24th. This remarkable participation aims to showcase the aerospace capabilities of Mexicali and establish connections with leading global companies.

The Paris Air Show is an internationally renowned event that brings together key players in the aerospace sector. In this edition, the CDI represents Mexicali, the capital of Baja California, demonstrating the region’s strength and potential in the aerospace industry.

Mexicali’s participation in the Paris Air Show is organized by the Mexican Federation of the Aerospace Industry (FEMIA) and boasts a delegation of 200 people, including 18 exhibitors, occupying a 170-square-meter pavilion. Among the participants are representatives from various regions of Mexico, sector-specific companies, government institutions, and other key stakeholders.

Throughout the Paris Air Show, significant investment announcements, business meetings, and networking events will take place. The presence of governors and industry representatives, who will inaugurate the Mexican Pavilion, is highly anticipated. As part of the agenda, FEMIA will organize the second edition of the Mexico Tour Experience, showcasing the capabilities of the Mexican aerospace industry and offering visitors a culturally and gastronomically immersive experience, along with relevant information about each destination.

Mexico is positioning itself as a significant player in the global aerospace industry, ranking 12th in aerospace manufacturing. With annual exports of approximately $6.6 billion in 2020 and an average growth rate of 14%, the country houses over 350 manufacturing operations and generates more than 55,000 jobs in the aerospace sector.

The CDI’s participation in the Paris Air Show is an exceptional opportunity to highlight the potential and capabilities of Mexicali in the aerospace industry while forging strategic alliances and bolstering Mexico’s presence in this crucial sector.
