Sun Community Board Tours Soon-to-Open Cambria Imperial Hotel

-Editorial

Members of the Sun Community Federal Credit Union Board of Directors recently toured the nearly complete 108-room Cambria Hotel in the City of Imperial. Sun Community was the lead lender for the construction financing of the hotel, which was completed in 2023.

The hotel is being developed by Imperial Hotel Acquisitions, LLC, and is the first Cambria location in the Imperial Valley. The four-story, upscale hotel is expected to open this summer, offering a distinct experience with simple, guilt-free indulgences, allowing guests to treat themselves while on the road. The Cambria Imperial Hotel will feature immersive, spa-style bathrooms, contemporary and sophisticated guestrooms, onsite dining, multi-function meeting space, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and locally inspired design.

“We were impressed by the design and amenities of the new hotel. There’s a real need for the type of amenities that Cambria will provide to the Valley,” said Patrick Carey, CEO of Sun Community Federal Credit Union. “We are pleased to join forces with the owner, Imperial Hotel Acquisitions LLC, to bring this Cambria hotel to life in our community.”

“Sun Community has been a tremendous financial partner, and we continue to be grateful for the support we have received from the local community,” stated the owner/developer of Imperial Hotel Acquisitions LLC. “The Cambria brand is a perfect fit for a county like Imperial, which is a growing business hub and also attracts many visitors seeking an upscale hospitality experience.”

The Cambria Imperial Hotel is set to host its first job fair on Wednesday, June 5, in preparation for the opening of its new hotel in Imperial. The job fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Imperial County Workforce and Economic Development Center at 2799 S 4th St. in El Centro.
