Soles de Mexicali Inaugurate Season with Traditional Blessing

The Cathedral of Our Lady Guadalupe was filled with the fervor of fans as the Soles de Mexicali held their traditional season-opening mass. The ceremony marked the beginning of the 2024-25 season for the team in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP).

Presided over by the team’s president, Carlos Cota, along with manager Mario Flores and Coach Manolo Hussein, the event featured a special blessing from Bishop Enrique Sanchez Martinez. The bishop extended his best wishes for the upcoming season and encouraged the community to show their support by attending games at the Auditorio PSF.

In his homily, Bishop Sanchez emphasized the importance of trusting in God during difficult times, maintaining faith, and facing adversities without fear. His words resonated deeply with the congregation, inspiring both the team and its supporters.

After the liturgy, players, coaching staff, and other team members took the opportunity to capture the moment with photographs alongside Bishop Enrique Sanchez Martinez, marking the start of the season with hope and unity.
