Sierra Jaime and how she became a State Farm Insurance Agent

From a very young age, Sierra Jaime had an entrepreneurial spirit inside of her that allowed her to excel in every project she was given. She built a thriving book of clientele starting at the mere age of 13, with her jobs cleaning houses, babysitting and with her cars washing business.  Later on she worked as the Special Events Coordinator for the City of El Centro and as the Director of Sales for the two El Centro Marriott hotels – Fairfield Inn & Suites and TownePlace Suites.  Growing up in her parent’s business, Sierra always dreamed of owning her own business someday and the opportunity arrived when she opened the doors to her State Farm agency in September of last year.

Five years ago, her father was in a serious accident that broke all the bones in his face. “I didn’t recognize him” Sierra said of her experience walking into the San Diego hospital room where he was taken via life-flight, “…but after several minutes, I was able to recognize my dad by the shape of his hands.”  During his hospitalization, dozens of doctors labeled him as a walking miracle and specialists deemed his progress unprecedented.  “Today he looks like my dad and we thank God for his life!” she said fondly.

“That accident and many other things that have happened to our family made me realize how important it is to prepare for the future and to protect our families and the assets that we all work every day to build,” Sierra shared with Beyond Borders Gazette. “That’s why I became a State Farm Agent, to help others protect what matters most.”

Sierra’s team is a true reflection of the community in which they serve, with a diverse and bilingual staff that tailor fit State Farm’s services to the needs of this bi-national community.  For example, their team boasts of the incredible and free service available through State Farm when crossing the border into Mexico via car.  It’s no wonder that State Farm is ranked #1 in customer satisfaction for claims as it has a dedicated department, called the Mexico Recovery Unit, which offers full-service and on-site support up to 50 miles south of the US/Mexico border. If their members experience an auto accident in Mexico, State Farm will send legal representation to the scene of the accident, talk to the police and fill out needed reports.  If their car is not drivable due to the damage, State Farm will even take care of crossing the car through US Customs to get it back into the United States for repair.

Not only do they enjoy educating their customers of their options, but the fantastic team at Sierra’s State Farm agency works hard to provide the most competitive pricing options for their services. In her signature enthusiasm, Sierra said: “…often our quotes for Homeowners Insurance are close to half of what our customers were paying with a previous carrier.”  Helping families protect what matters most is the mission of State Farm Sierra Jaime’s office – call or stop by their office for a consultation or a quote for insurance services such as autos, home, rental, and life insurance, and also financial services such as banking (checking/credit cards, etc…) and vehicle financing.
