In a press conference held today, the Mujeres Que Viven Foundation and Dr. David Paredes Nevárez presented the second edition of the “Breast Cancer Awareness” athletic race, which will take place on Sunday, October 6.
Present at the main table of the press conference were Dr. David Paredes Nevárez, race organizer, and the President of the Mujeres Que Viven Foundation, Lic. Ana Lucía Murillo Villalobos, Maestra Patricia Pacho Ruiz, Director of the Mujeres Que Viven Foundation, as well as Giselle Nayelli Nuño Morales, a patient and life testimony.
The details of the race were given by Dr. David Paredes, who mentioned that the race will be in an open category with a 5-kilometer route starting and ending at the UABC Rector’s office, with a start time of 7:00 a.m. In addition, there will be a 1-kilometer race for patients, survivors, and children.
The first 300 people to arrive will receive medals, with awards given to the top three in each category. It was also announced that all participants who cross the finish line will be entered into a raffle with prizes from various sponsors.
To conclude the press conference, FMQV President Lic. Ana Lucía Murillo highlighted the importance of these activities for the benefit of those suffering from breast cancer.
