As the grill turned on, delicious food could be smelled in the air which meant one thing, the 2019 edition of “A la Parrilla Fest” was in full swing.
Rotary Club Mexicali hosted the third annual event with great success as they welcomed the best chefs from Mexico and Latin America to participate in what it has become one of the most awaited events in Mexicali. It is a young club but with a lot of o heart that created this event not just to have people have a good time but made it a mission to help children that need it the most.
The winning team this year was Chulengo Smoker Team.
Approximately more than 2,000 people arrived at Club Campestre Mexicali to try the delicious courses of the 20 participating teams. More than 1 ton of the best roasts and 10 thousand tastings of the parrilleros teams came looking for the people’s vote to become the winner of this year’s edition.
The funds obtained will go towards surgeries and treatments for children and young people with health problems such as cleft lip, cleft palate, deep deafness, and musculoskeletal problems.
