OFF ROAD RACE TAKING PLACE IN SAN FELIPE THIS WEEKEND

  • San Felipe starts well this year 2019 with the Desert Mayhem 175 Race from 18 to 20 this month.

Mexicali, BC on January 15, 2019. – In its third edition, this race that starts and ends at the Port of San Felipe has today a record of about 150 teams, mostly foreign, mainly from the United States, California, and Arizona, as well as different parts of the State such as Ensenada and Tijuana.

On Friday the boardwalk of San Felipe is dressed with the contingency and mechanical revision of vehicles and the race taking place on Saturday, where the first categories will start at 6 and 6:30 am and the big categories from 1 pm on the track Hermanos Rodríguez from SF.

This event, organized by Cesar Quirarte and the community of San Felipe, is an event that positively impacts tourism and the economy of the port during the low season, so the tourism committee of Mexicali continues its strategy of developing and promoting new events and new tourism products that make our municipality more attractive for tourists. It is worth mentioning that the resources obtained from this event are returned to different local charities.

For this 2019, SF, there will have several newly created or growing events such as:

Carnival of SF by the end of February, the Corrida Bikers by BC in March, the traditional Baja 250 in April which grows to 2 days of contingency and the Norra 1000 race with an overnight stay in April and with what could become the 3rd most important year for the port in May, with the development for the first time the leading organization of Off Road in the United States Ultra4racing’s event “the King of the Hammers” that ventures into Mexico for the first time.
