New Gun Laws to Take Effect in Texas Sept. 1

While the gun debate rages after the recent events that took place this weekend, new laws in Texas will make it easier for people to get them.

The ongoing debate between carrying guns or restrict them has been a hot topic for many years. Those that defend the second amendment of the U.S. Constitution to bear arms argue that more protection is needed to prevent more tragedies and shootings.

Texas is heading that way starting September 1.

According to CNN, this new set of laws will make it easier for schools to have more armed marshals on campus allows some foster homes to have guns on the premises for personal protection. According to the law, they must be stored in a safe, secure location.

Homeowners and landlords can’t prevent residents from carrying, possessing, or transporting weapons and ammunition from their property; bans people from being charged with a crime for carrying a handgun during a state or local evacuation; clarifies Texans’ rights to carry a licensed weapon into places of worship.
