Mexicali, B.C.- As part of the work of the Municipal Government, to promote economic growth and the generation of jobs in Mexicali, the Municipal President Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, met with executives of the company Productos Medline, where she announced a new investment of 50 million dollars, for this municipality.
Following up on the linkage work with the industrial sector, which was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, took a tour at the Medline Plant facilities, to learn about the short-term growth plans that this company has.
Company executives revealed to the Mayor that this new investment consists of a project that comes to Mexicali to strengthen the supply chain by having installed capacity to process sterile trays for other companies within the region and covering the area of vocation.
During the tour through the plant, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda stressed the importance of this new investment, especially in the midst of this pandemic, since it represents the generation of more than 50 direct and 150 indirect jobs, in the first phase of this project.
The official assured that the link between the Municipal Government and the industrial sector has been permanent from the beginning of her administration, work that has contributed to the development and arrival of new projects, despite the complicated situation that has represented for all sectors due to the pandemic.
During her visit, the Mayor was accompanied by Alfonso Vildosola, Coordinator of Economic Development of Mexicali, Guillermo Salcedo, Director of Medline Operations, Marco Kuljacha, Vice President of Prodensa Operations, as well as Víctor Delgado President of INDEX.
