Mexican Consulate Announces Festivities of the “Cry of Independence”

The Consulate of Mexico in Calexico announced the Mexican Independence Day’s celebrations for September 22nd commemorating the 207th Anniversary of the Independence of Mexico. The “Viva Mexico” will be in charge of Consul Carlos Flores Vizcarra and will be heard from Consulate of Mexico in Calexico gardens located on Heber Avenue and Fourth Street.

The celebration of the “Cry of Independence” will be organized through a “Popular Verbena” composed by the joy of regional Mexican music and all the folklore. Along with the variety of Mexican ‘antojitos’. There will also be the presence of the Ballet Folkloriko Municipal Mexicali, the Mariachi Mixteco, Edgar Valentin, Relampago Group and Tribute to the Dynamite Sonora.

The event will be from 6 pm until 11 pm.

Consul Carlos Flores Vizcarra will participate in the civic ceremonies at Gran Plaza Outlets on Friday, September 8; “Las Palmas” Swap Meet on Wednesday, September 13, and in the city of Brawley on Friday, September 15th.
