Mexicali Announces Easter Activities

Mexicali Mayor Norma Bustamante Martínez presented to the media the program of activities “Mexicali on Vacation” for the celebration of Holy Week and Easter.

At a press conference, the mayor explained that these events are for Mexicali families who decide to stay in the city for these vacations, therefore, the Municipal Government prepared a series of cultural, sports, and tourist activities in “El Bosque y Zoológico de la Ciudad”, as well as in the parks: Juventud 2000, Centenario and Vicente Guerrero.

Norma Bustamante announced that they will continue with the “Cultural Sundays” in the Historic Center with music and the participation of artists, in addition to the “Historic Mexicali” tour through the most emblematic places of the city. In this regard, the director of the Committee for Tourism and Conventions of Mexicali (COTUCO) Nancy Paola Minor highlighted that the events have been scheduled from April 14 to 17; visit the 7 Temples, the Beer Route, the Myths and Legends Tour.

Also, she commented that sandboarding will be available at the Cuervitos Dunes in the Mexicali Valley.

For his part, director Geovany López Rodríguez explained that this Easter they expect more than 50 thousand visitors, for this reason, they will add an outdoor theater in collaboration with IMACUM for family fun.

Likewise, there will be a search area on Easter Sunday, a photography booth, and traditional attractions such as the interactive farm, the little train, and the dinosaur area, among others.
