McDonald’s in Calexico has been the favorite place for Calexico and Mexicali residents. It was the place where kids could play and enjoy a happy meal and enjoy a relaxing time with the family.
The franchise that opened 42 years ago thanks to the late Tony Gonzalez continues thanks to the work of their children, Emmanuel and Jose Leon who continue the legacy and are now looking into the new generation with the construction of a newer and modern McDonalds restaurant.
This is part of a nationwide effort by McDonald’s and its franchises to spend $6 billion to modernize most of the 14,000 restaurants across the U.S.
The new McDonalds restaurant in Calexico will have a new play place toy, digital gaming, new self-order kiosks, and digital menu boards indoor and outdoor at the drive-thru, and will have Table Service. Guest will be served their food right to their tables and will be able to order through their Mobile App.
McDonald’s in Calexico is a family run franchise that also supports the community by supporting the youth and other non-profit organizations that help Calexico.
Target day for re-opening is November 2018.
