McDonalds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Inaugurates a New Era

McDonald’s has been more than a restaurant, it’s a family business that continues a tradition to help the community and bring a smile to all the kids.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Jan. 22 to formally inaugurate the new building along. Dignitaries from the city, state, county, and chamber of commerce representatives were present to celebrate the occasion.

McDonald’s in Calexico has been the favorite place for the city and Mexicali resident for over four decades. It is the place where kids can play and enjoy a happy meal while having a relaxing time with the family.

The franchise opened 42 years ago thanks to Tony González, his legacy continues thanks to his sons, Emmanuel and José León, inaugurating a new building with cutting-edge technology that will improve the dining experience of its customers.

This is part of a nationwide effort by McDonald’s and its franchises to spend $6 billion to modernize most of the 14,000 restaurants across the U.S.

The new McDonalds restaurant in Calexico has had a new play place toy, a new self-order kiosk, digital menu boards indoor and outdoor at the drive-thru, and table service. Guest will be served their food right to their tables.
