During the middle of the Cattle Call week, the lyrics and tunes of mariachi music are heard from a mile away as you get near the Main Street in Brawley.
As a tradition that has grown through the years, mariachi night has become the most attended event during Cattle Call week. This year’s event brought approximately 10 thousand people matching the number of visitors they had in 2017.
Cattle Call has everything and for everybody. It has a rodeo, a mini-rodeo, mixers and, of course, a piece of Mexican culture that brings people together, an event that started 30 years ago and has become a tradition in Imperial Valley.
The night had everything you need to have a great night: beer, food, games, and places to eat the best Mexican food.
Mariachi night is the place where the community has a chance to sign up and sing with Mariachi Calafia who provided the music. This year there were 25 people that participated and tried to give their best performance. This was the night where the public became the artist.
