Imperial County Thanks Essential Workers

-Editorial

Essential workers have been the driving force in these challenging times of COVID-19 by providing the needed services for the community.

From nurses to grocery workers, they make sure families are supported in every way possible. They are the true heroes of our time.

The County of Imperial will begin honoring essential workers starting this month for their service. A weekly social media post will feature an essential worker to say thank you.

In a message from County CEO Tony Rohoutas, he stated: “In addition to the dedicated and hardworking County employees and those continuing to work in our local hospitals and front line staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, the County of Imperial is extremely thankful for all essential employees who continue to serve the public in a variety of ways.

“Whether if they’re working in our fields that help feed the world, in our convenience stores and food establishments providing customer service and meals to the public, providing laundry services to help clean and wash our clothes and uniforms, and everyone else who is working right now: Thank you for everything you do.” Rohoutas said.
