Imperial County Board of Supervisors Appoint Liza Barraza as New Child Support Services Director

EL CENTRO, CA – On Tuesday, the Imperial County Board of Supervisors announced the appointment of Liza Barraza as the new Director of Imperial County’s Child Support Services Department (ICCSS), effective immediately.

About her new position, Mrs. Barraza stated, “I am excited about the opportunity to take on the role of Director of Child Support Services and would like to thank the Board of Supervisors for their confidence in me. As a native of Imperial Valley, I am committed to this county and am eager to continue working hard with our child support team at the department, the CEO, the Board, and the State Department of Child Support Services in finding innovative ways to increase the reliability of child support for the families that need them.”

Mrs. Barraza, a resident of Calexico, graduated from Vincent Memorial High School, received her bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University, and her law degree from California Western School of Law.  She is married with two children.  Mrs. Barraza has been an employee of the County of Imperial since 2002, where she began her career with the Imperial County Office of the County Counsel as a Law Clerk.
