IID warns of fraudulent door-to-door activity

-Editorial

This week, the Imperial Irrigation District has been notified of several incidents in which IID customers have been approached by individuals claiming to be district employees or working with the district, requesting to see customer electrical equipment or customer bills on behalf of the IID.

Customers are advised that IID has no affiliation or working arrangements with door-to-door vendors or telemarketers selling solar systems.

IID urges customers to be vigilant. If you are contacted by anyone who claims to represent the district and you are uncertain or feel uncomfortable, IID encourages you to call the district directly at 1-800-303-7756 to speak with a representative and verify if IID is attempting to contact you.
