HOTEL INDUSTRY GROWS IN MEXICALI VALLEY

  • With the opening of 3 hotels in the town of Los Algodones

MEXICALI, B.C.- With the purpose of continuing to promote the economic development of Mexicali Valley, especially the Los Algodones town, the Government of the State headed by President Francisco Vega de Lamadrid, through the Secretary of Tourism of the State (SECTURE), promotes the opening of 3 hotels in the town, Hacienda Los Algodones; California Comfort & Suites and Cielito Lindo.

The delegate of the state agency in Mexicali, Eloy Moreno Méndez, said that previously, health tourists had to return to the United States because there was no quality hotel offer in Los Algodones, so this type of investment offers foreign tourists, the comfort of staying and resting after surgery or medical treatment and thus enjoy hotel amenities, and thereby extend their stay in the town, which benefits the destination’s tourist and commercial activity, which during 2018 generated an economic impact of 40 million dollars.

The hotels that opened their doors to the public a few months ago are:

Hotel Hacienda Los Algodones, has 40 rooms (20 single and 20 doubles), restaurant, TV, pool, Wi-Fi, parking and is part of the Secture program “Pet-Friendly”. Telephone (658) 517-3328, Webpage http://haciendalosalgodones.com/
