MEXICALI, BC- With the purpose of continuing to promote a relationship of fraternity on both sides of the border, the State Government led by President Francisco Vega de Lamadrid, through the State Secretary of Tourism (SECTURE), held a meeting with the Consul of Mexico in Calexico, Tonatiuh Romero, who visited the entity, to discuss the implementation of strategies that continue to promote the exchange of visitors.
The delegate of the state agency in Mexicali, Eloy Moreno Méndez, said that this was a courtesy visit by the Consulate of Mexico in Calexico, in order to strengthen ties of friendship and seek tourism promotion alliances that favor the relationship between two cities and reinforce tourism activities that both destinations provide.
The state official pointed out that, within the strategies, the Secretary of Tourism is committed to providing promotional videos for Mexicali and Baja California to be displayed in cocktails organized by the Consulate, in working meetings with high-level officials and in high-affluence events in the Imperial Valley located on the southern border of California.
For his part, the Consul joins the commitment to stay in constant communication with the Tourism Promotion Trust of Mexicali to be part of the next destination presentations of Mexicali in cities of the United States such as San Diego and Los Angeles, so it will further strengthen the promotion and safety image on both sides.
