Fiestas del Sol Mexicali 2019 is ready to welcome the border community in October


Like every fall, the most important community party in the northwestern of Mexico continues its commitment to provide great shows to Mexicans. Fiestas del Sol 2019, will feature the participation of interesting exhibitions by local artists, microentrepreneurs of the region, and of course, the Island of the Stars will have a luxury roster, with the presence of musicians of international stature.

The municipal president of Mexicali, Gustavo Sánchez Vázquez declared to be satisfied by the good coordination that has been managed with the Fiestas del Sol board (FEX), headed by Miguel Ángel Torres, and that they were able to make the necessary steps to have all the permits in order, and provide a great security body, to ensure that Mexicali families and people visiting from the other side of the border (Imperial Valley and Yuma) can enjoy the community fair.

The president of Fiestas del Sol, Jorge Mario Arreola, commented that there are exhibitions of local producers, and artists who will have larger spaces, to provide better shows. The attendance of more than 20 thousand people per day is expected.

Among the artists that will be present on the Island of the Stars, the Mexican rock band El Tri stands out, who will be at the grand opening on October 2. Likewise, Grupo Pesado will perform with good northern music. Subsequently, the reappearance of Kabah, Babasónicos, Kinky, Moenia, among other artists that will decorate the stage.

The opening of the fair will be in charge of the new Mexicali City Council, led by Mayor Marina del Pilar Ávila, on October 2. The wrap-up will be on October 16, with Los Angeles Azules performance. Fiestas del Sol 2019 is expected to break attendance record from the last edition, where more than 60 thousand people gathered together to enjoy the fair.
