The new legislature of Baja California took oath office before midnight on July 31st so they could begin their legislative work before the new governor-elected begins her administration.
Juan Manuel Molina was appointed as President of the Board of Directors. The Vice Presidency went to Evelin Sánchez from Morena; the Secretary will be Araceli Gerardo Ñúñez and Julia Andrea González from Morena.
At the begging of the session, it was proposed to vote by ballot, however, Molina García made a motion that the vote is open so they can be transparent.
“The party that I represent, Morena, holds the ideals of transparency so I request from the rest of this legislative body to second my request of having a nominal vote,” he said.
The session was led by Congressman Juan Manuel Molina García, in his capacity as president of the Board of Directors of the State Congress, who gave the use of voice to the president of the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo) María del Rosario Adame Muñoz, for the reading of the agreement that establishes the conformation of the working bodies, which will be integrated as follows:

The Congress of the State of Baja California is the legislative branch of the government of the State of Baja California. The Congress is the governmental deliberative body of Baja California, which is equal to, and independent of, the executive.
The Congress is unicameral and consists of twenty-five representatives. Seventeen representatives are elected on a first-past-the-post basis, one for each district in which the entity is divided, while eight are elected through a system of proportional representation. Deputies are elected to serve for a three-year term.
