In an unprecedented move, the Mayor of Ensenada revealed that the city will welcome 26 cruise ships from nine renowned shipping lines as the year 2024 begins. Typically, the port receives between four to six lines in a given period, making this an exceptional occurrence in the city’s maritime history.
This significant announcement details the arrival schedule for various lines including Carnival, RCI, Holland, Viking, Princess, NCL, RSCC, Oceania, and Seabourn throughout January. Sundays will witness the highest influx, with notable ships like Seven Seas Grandeur and Carnival Radiance slated for January 7th, Carnival Radiance on the 14th, Carnival Radiance and Crown Princess on the 21st, and Carnival Radiance and Navigator of the Seas on the 28th.
“Wednesdays and Fridays will witness a total of 10 arrivals, followed by Saturdays with four, and Thursdays with three. There will be single-ship arrivals on Tuesday, January 9th, and Monday, January 29th,” mentioned the Mayor.

Celebrating a momentous achievement, Mayor Armando Ayala Robles commemorated the arrival of over one million cruise tourists at the port in 2023, marking an unprecedented milestone in the city’s history.
This monumental success, he emphasized, resulted from collaborative efforts between the Government of Ensenada, Baja California’s Government, the Ensenada National Port System Administration (Asipona), and Ensenada Cruiseport Village. This historic year solidifies Ensenada’s port as the most frequented by international cruise passengers and the third highest in tourist ship arrivals nationwide.
Ayala attributed this milestone to the collective measures taken in security, public space maintenance, and the hosting of more than 100 sporting, gastronomic, and festival events throughout the year.
“Proudly, our port has become a pivotal destination nationally and internationally. More shipping companies have entrusted us, and those who had not visited for years are once again including us in their routes,” concluded Mayor Armando Ayala.
