By: Mario Conde

In life, there are obstacles that people face every day that make people consider quitting or not following the dreams they planned. The setbacks are normal but there’s always a second opportunity to rebound and arrive and get to the place you want to be.

It doesn’t have to be at the end of the world if a little motivation comes to the mix that pushes you to give that second try. That’s where the book Segunda Oportunidad comes in to help and motivate people that are going through hard times with stories about people and situations can inspire people to get up and dust themselves off and continue with their journey.

Introducing her first book, author Ellie Burgueno (www.ellieburgueno.com) presented the book “Segunda Oportunidad” at Araiza Hotel in Mexicali on Friday, June 29th. Great attendance for the book presentation that included dignitaries from Calexico such as Mayor Maritza Hurtado and representing Mexicali Mayor Gustavo Sanchez was Alfredo Vega and representing State Culture Institute Director, Manuel Felipe Bejarano, Mauro Adel Quintero, current state communications director at the Baja California Institute of Culture. Entertaining was the local artist, Ruben Hernandez.

The book has thirteen chapters that bring a method of self-analysis and change, as well as examples of real second chances. The book motivates the reader to see life with more optimism and to believe that, no matter what their situation might be, there will always be a Second Chance.

Ellie started writing this book years ago but it was not published and went through several editing phases.
