ECRMC Board of Trustees Accepts Hospital Management Partners Termination Notice

During the ECRMC Board of Trustees meeting, the Board accepted the termination notice tendered on January 14, 2023, by Hospital Management Partners (HMP) effective January 29, 2023, HMP’s contract for temporary services for Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer has been terminated as of the effective date.

The ECRMC Board of Trustees wants to assure the community that ECRMC will continue to be open and will continue to care for your medical needs. The hospital and outpatient clinics are open to manage and provide healthcare services.

A press conference is currently being planned to include the Board Chairman and Executive Staff, intending to bring clarity to the community. Press conference details will be announced soon.

This is part of the recent changes announced by the hospital. Some believe this will affect health services in the Valley.

Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District (PMHD) and El Centro Regional Medical Center (ECRMC) announced the consolidation of all inpatient Maternal and Child Health Services at PMHD. ECRMC, which has the smaller of the two existing programs, will stop admitting new inpatients for these two services.

Leaders from both hospitals emphasized that the purpose of consolidating services at PMHD will provide the women and children of Imperial County with a unified maternal and infant program that provides high-quality care for new mothers and their babies. In the consolidated program, PMHD will be the place to deliver more than 2,500 babies each year.
