This holiday season, the Baja California Secretariat of Tourism presents an exciting new edition of its popular “Traveling Hearts” program. This initiative invites state residents to explore Baja California’s scenic wonders through all-inclusive trips that feature accommodations, travel insurance, professional tour guides, recreational activities, and ground transportation.
The program promotes social tourism, making it easier for locals to experience the state’s rich attractions. Participants receive a voucher valued at 1,500 pesos to subsidize half the trip’s cost, while travelers pay the remaining 1,500 pesos per person, as stipulated in the operating rules established in May 2024.
Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez, Secretary of Tourism for Baja California, stated, “‘Traveling Hearts’ is our way of sharing the state’s tourism, cultural, and natural heritage, ensuring that everyone can enjoy and appreciate it.” He also extended an invitation for all Baja Californians to join one of the program’s curated journeys.
From Tijuana, the program offers trips like ‘Flavors and Routes’ Valle de Guadalupe Wine Country and the ‘Kumiai’ route to Tecate, a designated Magic Town. From Mexicali, residents can embark on the ‘Enjoy San Felipe’ or ‘Adventure and Flavor San Felipe’ routes.
Each two-day, one-night excursion includes round-trip transportation via Buses ABC and a variety of engaging activities tailored to each destination. Depending on the trip, participants might explore wineries, museums, eco-tourism centers, archaeological sites, parks, and ranches, among other regional highlights.
Tickets are available at Autobuses ABC offices located in the Tijuana and Mexicali bus terminals.
