COVID-19 SANITARY-INSPECTION CHECKPOINTS WILL BE INSTALLED AT BORDER CROSSINGS DURING THE WEEKEND

The sanitary checkpoints will continue operating this weekend from Friday, June 19 at 2:00 p.m. and until Monday the 22nd, at the West Port of Entry, East Port of Entry, Los Algodones, and San Luis Rio Colorado.

Pantheons will remain closed throughout the municipality, Valle and San Felipe.

The operations will be carried out by the Municipal Government, through the Municipal Medical Services in conjunction with the National Guard, the Mexican Army, and the Department of Health.

Actions will be implemented to seize surplus liquor, beer, and other intoxicating beverages, to inhibit parties, crowds, gatherings, and the increase in coronavirus infections.

In case of detecting meetings, parties, or any other type of crowds, the Municipal Police will continue to apply sanctions of up to 17 thousand pesos ($820 USD), in addition, any intervention will be together with the National Guard and the Mexican Army.4

The municipal authority urged citizens to respect order and continue to apply the measures provided by the Health Sector.
