CONGRESSMEN IN MEXICO APPROVE ELIMINATION OF IMMUNITY TO PUBLIC SERVERS

  • Congressman Exaltación González votes in favor of elimination of Immunity to public servers in Mexico.

MEXICO CITY.- Considered one of the most emblematic initiatives of the LXIII Legislature, this Thursday, April 19, 2018 the initiative that determines the elimination of constitutional immunity to all public servants of the country including the president of the Republic was unanimously approved in Congress.

In this sense, Baja California congressman Exaltación González Ceceña, voted in favor of the elimination of immunity to public servants in Mexico and celebrated that the approval of this initiative, was mainly a social claim for many years and finally becomes a reality.

The vote was taken with 349 votes in favor and 1 against it, the decree draft reforming and repealing various provisions of articles 17, 61, 74, 108, 110, 111, being approved in general and in particular 112 and 114 of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States, being sent to the Senate for its constitutional effects.
