PRESS RELEASE: Mexicali Soles will receive the Pioneros of Quintana Roo team tonight at the State Auditorium in the sixth game of the final LNBP series.

With a 2-3 disadvantage in the series, the Ivan Deniz quintet will try to force a seventh and final game which would be played next friday.

This will be the second elimination game which Mexicali confronts over the whole postseason. In the past this happened when confronting Correcaminos in the first playoff, and they came back to the State Auditorium to play a fifth game of the series.

It is also the first time Soles is down in all of the series playoffs so in order to crown themselves they will need to win two games against Pioneros, something they haven’t been able to do in this final.

Mexicali won the first game of the series, but they lost the second game with Angley Manjarrez’s triple shot and despite the victory awarded to Soles in the repetition, Pioneros contested and they won in the table.

Later, when the series moved to Cancun, Soles won the game of three, but they lost the following two which have them against the wall.

“We fell on their game and that worked out for them in the last two games, when we played based on our idea on what we know to do we always had the score in our favor, we didn’t feel comfortable, we didn’t feel at ease as we had felt in the first three games,” said Ronald Guillen, Soles Technical Assistant.

The team practiced privately this Tuesday before the six game in the series and the coach reports that all of the players are ready for the game against Pioneros.

They’re hoping for the city’s support and that tonight the State Auditorium packed, crowded, and dressed in orage, will cheer in one voice: Go Soles!
