El Centro, CA.- The City of El Centro announced in a press release that the annual Christmas Tree Lighting & Street Fair event normally scheduled in December has been canceled. The decision was not easy to make as the event brings friends and families together to share the happiness of this special holiday season. But safety will always be the number one priority of the City Council and it is why they must continue to be responsible and follow all State and County guidelines.
They emphasized that the holiday celebrations be scaled down to smaller gatherings and to please stay home, wear your mask, and remember to social distance to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The Mayor and City Council wishes everyone a safe & healthy holiday season.
